Over the past ten years I have built production websites, progressive web apps and hybrid mobile apps for clients around my local area. I recently worked with a small team as a front-end developer for a startup called PartnerPage. I'm passionate about engineering and building software solutions to complex business problems.
I'm an entrepreneur at heart and I love to explore new ideas with my development abilities. I've built my own content management system for my clients along with a few other notable projects, listed below. I'm a self-taught developer but I regularly attend classes and read books related to development and other interests of mine, including product management and game design. I'm building a game in Unity in my spare time and learning C# and game design in the process.
I've been awarded honors at work like "first responder" for being most likely to respond quickly with helpful information when a question is asked. I've won the "comedian" award multiple times. Also, I took home a gold medal in cookie eating at the last Olympics. I prefer a casual work environment but I'm not crude or uncouth. I've found that my drive lies mostly in leading the path when it comes to software architecture, and I may struggle to work when an environment is too restricted. I know what it takes to be a 10x developer and hyper-focus on a software product and in my opinion the biggest factor is passion for the product and the potential result, both as a stakeholder and as a conscientious member of society.
I enjoy time away from my computer on occasion as well. I'm father to an amazing and talented son, partner to an incredible woman and loyal friend to a few close contacts. Originally from Vermont, I grew up around a lot of winter sports from snowball fights and sledding to snowboarding and even skateboarding during our six weeks of summer. We moved to Florida over ten years ago and have had a permanent tan since, and now I enjoy less extreme sports like walking, or swimming in our pool. My son plays soccer and helping him practice and attend games is something I enjoy greatly.
